Summer/Short Term Intern Research Positions

Full and Part-time positions are available for individuals in Computer, Engineering or Biological Sciences to assist in the development and support of Computational Biology Research at the Joslin Diabetes Center. Under the direction of Research Computing and the Bioinformatics Core, successful candidates will participate in a research project with a member of the Joslin Research faculty that focuses on Computational Biology.

Research areas include Microarray data analysis, Proteomics, Genetics, Comparative Genomics and sequence analysis, software and database development and analysis of high throughput biological data. The Joslin Diabetes Center is a world leader in Diabetes research and care and a primary objective of the position is to learn about the importance of diabetes research and how it is conducted.

Requirements: Applicants are expected to have a working knowledge of some combination of the following: Perl, Python, Java, Ruby, C/C++, MSSQL, MySQL, PosgresSQL, HTML, PHP, JavaScript, .NET, ASP, UNIX/Linux. Demonstrated interest and/or experience in life science research is a plus.
