Short Term Intern / Work Study Research Position

A Part-time paid position is available for individuals in Computer Science , Engineering or Biological Sciences to assist in the development and support of Clinical Research Informatics at the Joslin Diabetes Center. Under the direction of Research Computing and the Bioinformatics Core, successful candidates will participate in an informatics-based Clinical Research project with a member of the Joslin Research faculty.

The successful candidate will assist in a project to collect and integrate data from multiple sources; Clinical Lab System, Electronic Medical Records System, and Experimental data from Genomics and Genetics experiments. This data is to be used in 2 ongoing long term research projects.

Requirements: Applicants are expected to have a working knowledge of MS Access and some combination of the following: Perl, Python, Java, Ruby, C/C++, MSSQL, MySQL, PosgresSQL, HTML, PHP, JavaScript, .NET, ASP, UNIX/Linux. Demonstrated interest and/or experience in life science research is a plus.
