John Doupis is a Clinical Research Fellow in Joslin Diabetes Center, Harvard Medical School, in Boston MA. He got his MD degree in 1997 from University of Thessalonica, Greece, Medical School and his PhD degree in 2007 from Athens, Greece University Medical School. He is specialized in Internal Medicine and Diabetes and his special areas of interest are Diabetes and its complications, Obesity and the Metabolic Syndrome. In these fields, he has participated in a substantial number of studies, most of which have been either published in international journals or presented in congresses. His doctorate thesis is also Diabetes orientated. He has also worked in many multicenter clinical protocols such as the clinical trials “Navigator” and “NN304-1374 (Detemir)”. His teaching experience includes student training on Internal Medicine clinical subjects at the Athens University Medical School. Apart from his investigational and teaching contribution, he has had ample clinical experience through his service in large Naval and University hospitals (The Naval Hospital of Athens, the Naval Hospital of Salamina and Laikon General Hospital).
